(eng): The package contains demo of counting the yeast colonies in images of Petri dishes. The algorithms, contained in this demo, represent part of a software tool used to determine relative coverage of the dish, to estimate the number of colonies, and, using simple graphical tool, to correct this estimate. The algorithms, contained in this package, perform the necessary preprocessing of an image and estimate the count of colonies. Included are several filters to reduce the estimation noise, separation of round, isolated colonies from the conglomerate blobs and estimation of number of colonies in these conglomerates. The output of the demo are two images: the original (grayscale) image with markings of the dish center and the region-of-interest and the image of the region-of-interest self, with crossmarks for the counted colonies and with the figures of relative area and the estimated number of colonies.

(cze): V balíčku je demo počítání kolonií kvasinek na snímcích Petriho misek. Algoritmy, obsažené v demu, jsou součástí softwarového nástroje, umožňujícího určit relativní plochu pokrytí misky koloniemi, odhadnout jejich počet a pomocí jednoduchého grafického nástroje tento odhad upřesnit. Algoritmy, použité v demobalíčku, provedou po nezbytném předzpracování obrazu odhad počtu kolonií. Ve výpočtu je zabudováno několik filtrů, jejichž účelem je snížit šum odhadu a oddělit izolované kolonie kruhového tvaru od shluků kolonií. Pro shluky je následně proveden odhad počtu kolonií, obsažených v každém z nich. Použitý způsob zpracování je popsán v přiložené dokumentaci. Výstupem dema, obsaženého v balíčku, jsou dva snímky: původní snímek s vyznačením středu misky a oblasti zájmu (region-of-interest, ROI) a obraz samotné oblasti zájmu, obsahující jednak značky pro započítané kolonie, jednak údaj o relativní ploše porostu a odhadovaném počtu kolonií.
