(eng): The control of underactuated systems is an interesting topic in control theory and applications. The problem of output regulation of a laboratory model of a rotary inverted pendulum is considered. The model has two degrees of freedom. Nonlinear output regulation theory is applied here and the performance of a proposed feedback regulator is tested trough computer simulations.
