Twenty three exceptionally outstanding young scientists were granted The Otto Wichterle Award, an honour given by the Czech Academy of Sciences. One of them is Ing. Ondřej Tichý, Ph.D. from Adaptive Systems Deparment. Eva Zažímalová, the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences, has given the Otto Wichterle Award in villa Lanna in Prague.
The course explains the basic concepts of robotics and presents an overview of types of robots according to their areas of application. The explanation includes the introduction of kinematic and dynamic models and their use in the design, planning and control of robot motion. Examples of robots in specific applications are presented. (Full-time and combined study.)
The course introduces students to the basic concepts of mechatronics. The starting point is to define the general mechatronic system and its key elements. The following is a presentation of procedures and tools for modelling and control of mechatronic systems. The explanation includes an introduction to the principles of basic elements and the introduction of typical examples of mechatronic systems in machine design, robotics, aerospace, the automotive industry, consumer goods and everyday applications. (Full-time and combined study.)
