Jan Kotera, Ph.D. student in the Dept. of Image Processing (ZOI), received the Best Student Paper award at the Digital Photography and Mobile Imaging XI conference at IS&T/SPIE Electronic Imaging held in San Francisco, USA, for the paper "Blind Deconvolution of images with model discrepancies using maximum a posteriori estimation with heavy tailed priors", co-authored by Filip Sroubek.

Seminář, který nabízí prohloubení teorie digitálního zpracování obrazu a rozpoznávání kurzu NPGR002 a její doplnění o experimenty a praktické aplikace v prostředí programovacího jazyku MATLAB. Pozornost je věnována digitalizaci obrazu, předzpracování (potlačení šumu, zvýšení kontrastu, odstranění rozmazání), detekci hran, geometrickým transformacím, příznakovému popisu objektů a metodám automatického rozpoznávání (klasifikace). Předmět je možno zapsat současně s NPGR002, jako cvičení, ale také samostatně, po absolvování NPGR002.
