Jan Schier received his M.Sc. degree in Technical cybernetics from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague in 1989 and his Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague in 1995. During his Ph.D. studies, he has joined the Institute of Information Theory and Automation, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague.
