Doc. RNDr. Sergej Čelikovský, CSc. was awarded Guest Professor of Wuhan University, China.

Wuhan is the metropolis and most populous city of central China and lies at the intersection of the middle reaches of the Yangtze and Han River. Wuhan University (http://w3.whu.edu.cn/en/) belongs too the most important universities of China with a rich tradition. The award is a prize of appreciation for the long scientific cooperation of ÚTIA and Sergej Čelikovský with china institutions and their experts in nonlinear dynamical systems.

The 16th IFAC World Congress, Prague, July 3-8, 2005

The 16th IFAC World Congress 2005 in Prague was co-organized by the Department of Control Theory. The congress is held every three years and is considered the flagship event of the IFAC Federation. The 16th IFAC World Congress took place in the Prague Congress Center between July 3rd and July 8th, 2005. With an attendance of almost two and half thousand participants from 63 countries, this was definitely the largest and most successful event in automatic control ever.

Chevalier dans ľordre des Palmes Academiques Medal to Vladimír Kučera
